Marinated Beef Kabobs for Grilling (Servers 12)

Grilled kabobs are the ultimate entrée when it comes to portion control and easy summertime entertaining. These kabobs can be assembled and refrigerated before guests arrive; then grilled just before serving time. Remember that beef cubs pushed close together will be cooked rare while those farther apart will be more well done.

1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into cubes
Whole mushrooms
Red or green pepper, cut into 1-inch squares

1. In deep bowl or resealable plastic bag set upright in a bowl, combine vegetable oil, vinegar, onion, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.

2. Add meat; stir to coat meat with marinade.

2. Refrigerate overnight or at least for a few hours.

3. Thread on kabob skewers alternately with mushrooms     and pepper squares.

4. Grill over medium coals until meat is desired degree of     doneness.
